Coinly

Terms of Service

Last updated: June 10, 2026

These terms govern your use of Coinly, a personal budgeting and expense-tracking app. By creating an account or using Coinly you agree to them. They are written to be read — if anything is unclear, ask us via the support page.

The service

Coinly lets you track income, expenses, accounts, budgets, savings goals, debts, bills, and net worth, by entering your own figures. Coinly does not connect to banks, does not move real money, and is a record-keeping tool only.

Your account

You need an account (email and password) to use the app. Keep your password private — you are responsible for activity under your account. You must provide a working email address so we can send sign-in and account emails.

Free and Pro plans

The free plan includes the core features with some limits (for example, number of accounts and goals, and a 3-month history view). Pro is a paid subscription (monthly or annual) that unlocks the full feature set, billed securely through Stripe.

You can cancel any time from Settings via the billing portal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and no further charges are made. When Pro ends, nothing is deleted: your data is kept, and features beyond the free limits simply lock until you re-subscribe (shared households you own get a 30-day read-only grace period before locking).

Not financial advice

Coinly shows you the numbers you entered, plus convenience calculations such as currency conversion using daily exchange rates. Converted amounts are estimates, not bank-grade figures. Nothing in the app is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break in, overload, scrape, or interfere with other users' data; no unlawful use; no reselling the service. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service.

Your data

Your data stays yours. How we handle it is described in the Privacy Policy. You can export your transactions and delete your account (and all its data) yourself at any time in Settings.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Coinly fast and available, but it is provided “as is”, without uptime guarantees — outages, maintenance, and changes to features can happen. We may add, change, or remove features over time; if a change materially reduces what you paid for, you can cancel and keep access until your paid period ends.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coinly and its operator are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on figures shown in the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using Coinly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; where reasonable, we will warn you first.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top and note significant changes in the app. Continuing to use Coinly after a change means you accept the updated terms.
